The Blooming Prairie 4 & 5 year-old School Readiness (Pre-Kindergarten) program is available to students who turn four on or before September 1, 2024.  The 4 & 5 year-old program focuses on social/emotional skills and academic skills appropriate for each child’s needs and abilities.

Pre-Kindergarten classes will begin in September, 2024.  All 4 & 5 year-old School Readiness students will attend 4 half days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the afternoon (12:00-2:50) or 5 full days: Monday-Friday (8:10-2:50).

The cost of 4 & 5 year-old School Readiness will be $140.00 per month/ half days and $500.00 per month/full days.
Free and reduced forms can be filled out in the fall to determine if you qualify for a free of reduced School Readiness fee.

The information you provide below will register your child for the 4 & 5 year-old School Readiness program.  Space is limited so please be sure to complete the registration form and immunization form if you are interested in your child attending the 4 & 5 year-old School Readiness program.

Parents are children’s first and most important teacher.  Children with involved parents are more successful in the classroom… and in life!  To register in the BP 4 & 5 year-old School Readiness Program, parents must agree to participate in 25 hours of parent education opportunities.  The following options can be used to acquire the 25 hours:

•    Serving on Early Childhood Advisory Council – meets 4 times a year
•    Participate in ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) classes and/or events
•    Classroom Volunteer
•    Reading and Returning Book Buddy Bags

PARENTS PLEASE NOTE:    Blooming Prairie Schools does not provide mid-day transportation for our School Readiness students.

In addition, we know due to work schedules and convenience that you may have a preference whether your child attends half day or all day.  You are able to make a class request, but please know it is just a request.  We cannot guarantee that your child will be placed in the class that you request.

Families will be notified of their enrollment status after May 22nd.

Please feel free to contact Early Childhood Coordinator, Laura Beckel at 583-6615 ext. 238 or with questions or for additional information.
