Varsity Volleyball Volleyball ended the season with a 29-9 record. They put up a hard battle in the final game only losing by a few points each game. They definitely didn't make it easy for Hayfield and the game could have gone either way. The season however was for sure not looked negatively on by Gina McLaughlin head coach of the girls she had many season headlights including sweeping New Richland for the first time in her 9 years of being a coach in Blooming. "It's not excitement when we get to that point in the night it's relief and the relief factor was at a nine." She commented about the NRHEG sweep. Her love for the game is obvious by how much time and energy she puts into it she has been participating in some form of volleyball for 24 years! She really is a key component to keeping the teams energy up and she does a great job in it "this is definitely a positive group," coach McLaughlin comments about her team. This has been a very successful season for the Blooming Prairie Blossom Volleyball Team! Many records have been broken and made in these 3 months. These records include Madison Worke with a kill efficiency and a good set attempt record. Labaro, Nicole Inwards with a digs record. Middle hitter, Taylor Hagen with an ace block record for the season. As well as Janelle Morem with an ace record. The girls have defiantly put foreword their "A" game and showed the teams who the Awesome Blossoms really are. Even though the season ended in a loss, this season was a successful one. There were a lot of goals achieved and a lot of improvements made from the beginning of the season. As for the seniors it is hoped that they take a lot away from this season. There was defiantly a lot of skill on the court from the seniors they were great leaders that will be greatly missed by everyone on the team. Way to go Blossoms on a great season! |
