I am so excited to be part of the Awesome Blossom family here at Blooming Prairie Elementary!
My name is Heidi Brasher, but my music friends call me "Mrs. B." It works because we just BUZZ along like little busy bees learning more about music every time we meet! I am originally from southeastern Minnesota. I attended Northwestern College (now UNW) and received my bachelor's degree in Music Education in 2002. Upon graduation, I taught at my alma mater (Kasson-Mantorville High School) and led the 10th grade choir program there. Next, I taught general music in Faribault, MN for 1 year until budget cuts eliminated my position. Couple that with some deteriorating health conditions in my husband's family, we moved down South to his hometown in Mississippi in 2006. I spent the last 14 years there serving in music and children's ministry with him, while also voice coaching, and piano teaching. Oh, and we added 3 kids to our family while we lived there so it was a busy time! We moved back to MN to give our kids some time with my family, especially my dad (he'll be 90 next year), and we are praying it is a beneficial experience for all of us. We are very involved with our church's music ministry, and we enjoy spending time together as a family. Some of my favorite things are coffee, coffee and ... coffee! (I should probably say Italian Sweet Creme creamer in there, too ... my current fave.) I'm an avid coffee drinker and I enjoy at least 1 cup every day! Questions? Concerns?
